Every bottle of oil from Plant Therapy will have a specific batch code that is directly linked to the essential oil’s GC/MS testing reports (independent third-party labs such as Laboratoire PhytoChemia) – Just click on ‘Test Reports’ on the specific essential oil’s product page.

Test Report by Consumer Advocate
Consumer Advocate ordered and tested 3 Types of Essential Oil namely; Lavender, Peppermint and Tea Tree from 11 well-known brands. For Plant Therapy oils, the GC/MS test results done by Aromatic Plant Research Center – APRC reported the detection of:
- As claimed by APRC, synthetic markers of linalyl acetate (Linalool oxide acetate 0.03%) are found on their lavender oil. If you check the GC/MS reports on Plant Therapy’s website, you will find certain batches of the Lavender essential oil did contain the markers (example: Batch Nov 2020). The batches dated 2021 and 2022 do not contain the markers.
- Addition of menthol and menthyl acetate on the peppermint oil because the sample has reduced biomarkers (viridiflorol, sabinene hydrate, geramcrene D). Laboratoire PhytoChemia, the Lab that tested Plant Therapy’s oils interpreted the results differently, did not think that the reduced biomarkers were indications of impurity.
The test reports by APRC have been questioned as the results contradicted with what’s been reported by established and renown essential oil labs like Essential Oil University (EOU) and Laboratoire PhytoChemia (Read the Comments).

How to Use
Lavender: Diffuse 30-60 minutes before bedtime to promote calm, relaxation and relieve nervous tension. For Topical use, diluted to 2-5% with the carrier of your choice and apply to the skin to reduce wrinkles and scars.
Peppermint can be diluted in carrier oil and applied to the temples and back of the neck when having head and neck tension.
Lemon: To use for cleaning, add a few drops to your favorite cleaner to help refresh and sanitize.

This oil works perfect. the porch smells a bit like citronella essential oil, but i haven’t seen any mosquitos in the house. I mix with water in a spray bottle and spray my patio once a week. I got a small jar and filled it with 3 spoonfuls of water, then added in another 15-20 drops of citronella oil. I then just used a cotton ball and soaked it in the blended mixture and then applied it all around our front door frame. There have been no mosquitos since.

This organic lavender essential oil from Plant Therapy quality is excellent. It’s literally the only essential oil that can improve my chronic headache when it gets severe. I blended it with natural salts like Pink Himalayan and Dead Sea Salts and bottled it up in glass jars. Every time I need help with congestion, headache, anxiety or brain fog, it’s my go-to remedy. However the scent does not last very long and not as potent.
